ALPINA B5 BiTurbo

ALPINA unveiled it’s latest creation at the Godwill Festival of Speed, in the form of the BMW ALPINA B5 BiTurbo, marking the entry of the car in the United Kingdom, to the joy of the fans.

Based on the BMW 5 Series model from the new generation, the BMW ALPINA B5 BiTurbo features a V8 engine with 507 hp and 700 Nm of torque, a 8-speed automatic gearbox and can reach a speed of 191 mph, going from 0 to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds. The BiTurbo part references the two turbochargers that have been made specifically for ALPINA by Honeywell-Garrett. The BMW ALPINA B5 BiTurbo also features 20-inch wheels, slightly tweaked aesthetics and electronic dampers that have been modified for the wheels and that can be adjusted. It’s official fuel consumption is 26.2 mpg.

John Quigley, ALPINA Great Britain Director sees the B5 BiTurbo as an invincible mix of performance and luxury, providing fans something to play with until the arrival of the next generation BMW M5. No price is known at the moment, but deliveries are said to be taken care of later this year, by Sytner.
